Sale of Work (noun): a sale of goods and handicrafts made by the members of a club, church congregation, etc, to raise money.
Ireland has a rich history of artisan craft, but along the way there was always the 'sale of work', where women would raise money for their community by selling pretty little handmade items at a bazaar or fair.
I sell mixed media and textile art in my other Etsy shop, Homespun Ireland: http://www.etsy.com/shop/HomespunIreland The work in that shop expresses my passion for Irish craft and country life, but, sometimes, I just want to make pretty trinkets out of the lovely vintage things I save. These things are my Sale of Work.
